Frequently asked questions
Will I lose quality converting GIF to JPG?
JPG is a lossy format, so a small amount of detail is discarded. At 85%+ quality the difference is invisible to the eye, and you can always raise the slider to 100% for maximum fidelity. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a colour of your choice (white by default).
Can I convert several GIF files at once?

Does it work with animated GIFs?
Only the first frame is converted — JPG is a still-image format. If you need the animation kept, a video format (MP4/WebM) is the usual choice.
